  • Toi Māori | Māori Art

    Explore Raranga/Weaving, Tukutuku/ ornamental lattice-work, Ngā Taonga Pūoro/musical instruments and more with traditional and contemporary materials.

    You are free to explore/express your own creative style in the creation of your very own special taonga/treasure. There is absolutely no pressure to complete your taonga in one sitting

  • Creative Exploration

    Using simple materials and processes, we are able to open the senses and access our creative imagination enabling us to find resources held
    within ourselves while also discovering
    new ones.

    Explore and discover your creativity with our friendly tutors. All materials supplied are free.

  • Rāhina - Monday Cooking

    Cook, Share and laugh with others in a relaxed, supportive space.

    Hands on cooking classes led by friendly facilitators.

    Express yourself through color, flavor, and presentation.

  • Rātū - Tuesday Sewing

    Guided by our friendly facilitators learn sewing skills, machine handling, and fabric matching. Discover how to do crochet, knitting, upcycle textiles, make bunting, do alterations, and learn hemming and cutting.

    Building confidence and skills, no experience needed.

  • Rāapa -Wednesday Jewellery crafting

    Jewellery crafting group on Wednesday is all about variety, creativity, and fun! Each week brings something new—whether working with clay, beads, or weaving flax/harakeke into hei tāringa earrings.

    No experience is needed to just embrace making every session a chance to reinvent, explore, and enjoy.

  • Rāapa -Wednesday Creative writing

    The creative writing group meets after Panui at 10am every Wednesday morning.

    Led by a facilitator who has a masters in Creative Writing from Auckland University. Provides creative exercises to stimulate our imagination, including free writing, poetry, storytelling, word games and group writing exercises. We also watch or listen to other published poets work.

    The goal of the group is to encourage and nurture self-expression and no writing experience is necessary.

    Sharing writing in the group is always voluntary as we want to create a space that feels safe for all attendees.
