Community volunteering

This club is built on connection, and we’re truly grateful to walk this journey with you.

If you are interested in volunteering, apply through Volunteering Auckland or just come in to chat to the staff and the members.

Volunteering with us is a chance to connect, contribute, and be part of something truly meaningful.

By the Ōwairaka (Mt Albert) Community Club writing group

Our wish for you

At the close of the year the writing group members wrote a haiku for the coming new year. These were put together to form a renku - a Japanese form of popular collaborative linked verse poetry.

My wish for you is the

beach, hot pools and cruises -

for love and forgiveness

My wish for you is

A happy life and balance

As in all nature

My wish for you is

You see what you really are

Don’t deny yourself

My wish for you is

spring blossom to follow rain

- for new shoots to bloom
